On August 11, 2025 there was another tragic shooting in Texas.  This is all too common in our communities. Sometimes we feel helpless to stop the violence.   For the month of September we are sharing a couple of opportunities that you might like to support.

Journey4ward is a nonprofit organization based in North Texas dedicated to helping victims of crime and at-risk youth heal, grow, and move forward. They provide free trauma-informed counseling, peer support groups, and guidance through the justice system for families and individuals impacted by violence. At the same time, Journey4ward runs prevention and empowerment programs for youth, including workshops and school-based sessions on gun violence awareness, bullying, choices and consequences, and leadership development. By combining direct support with proactive education, Journey4ward works to break cycles of violence and build stronger, safer communities.
